Basic introduction

  The scope of organic product certification is very wide. The certification of organic products is to certify organic products (such as cereals, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, livestock and poultry products, aquatic products, seasonings, drinks), organic agricultural production materials, (such as organic fertilizer, biological pesticides, etc.) as well as textiles, etc., which are collectively referred to as organic products.

  Most of the products produced by organic agricultural production system are food, but other products are also involved. According to Chinese national standard GB/T 19630 for organic products, organic products refer to the products for human consumption and animal consumption in the process of production, processing and sales.

  Production requirements:

  The production base has not used pesticides, chemical fertilizers and other prohibited substances in the past three years. The seeds or seedlings have not been transformed by genetic engineering technology. The production base should establish a long-term land fertilization, plant protection, crop rotation and livestock and poultry breeding plan. The production base should have no soil erosion, wind erosion and other environmental problems. Crops should be avoided from pollution in the process of harvest, cleaning, drying, storage and transportation. In the process of production and circulation, there must be a perfect quality control and follow-up review system, and complete production and sales records.

  Processing requirements:

  The raw materials are from products with organic certification  and wild (natural) products. The proportion of raw materials with organic certification in the final products is not less than 95%. Only natural auxiliary materials such as seasonings, pigments and spices are allowed to be used. Synthetic additives are not allowed to be used in organic certification standards. Pollution should be avoided in the production, processing, storage and transportation of organic products. Complete records, including corresponding bills, must be kept in the whole process of processing and trade.

  According to the organic product certification standard, the chemical synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, growth regulators, feed additives, genetic engineering organisms and their products shall not be used in the production process of organic products.The certification of such products is organic product certification.
