Basic introduction

　　Green recycled plastics-chain of custody is to track the information of recycling, dismantling and other recycled plastics from processing, production to consumption, including the ownership changes involved in each stage of processing, production and sales and the process of supply chain.

　　Through the requirements of traceability, environmental protection, social responsibility, recycling identification and general principles, the quality management system certification with industry characteristics is carried out for the recycling granulation enterprises and plastic products enterprises, so as to enhance the product competitiveness of enterprises, to show the social significance of recycled plastics, and to integrate with the international system of high price procurement of recycled plastic products.

　　As a quality improvement project approved by CNCA, green recycling management system certification is jointly applied and approved by Beijing ZZLH Inspection and Certification Co., Ltd., China  National Resource Recycling Association, SGS and other organizations. Two group standards, T/CRRA 0301—2017 “Green Recycled Plastic—Chain of Custody- Requirements” and  T/CRRA 0102-2017 “Requirements for Green Recycling Management System”, are specially formulated. With the support of China  National Resource Recycling Association, the current group standard has been released and recognized by JD and other units, and actively supports the introduction of the standard.

　　The standard T/CRRA 0301-2017 “Green Recycled Plastic—Chain of Custody- Requirements” specifies the process requirements and management requirements of green recycled plastics chain of custody. This standard is applicable to the trade, processing or sales of green recycled plastic products using recycled plastics as raw materials.

The standard features

　　(1) Green recycled plastics - chain of custody certification requires information tracking from processing, production to consumption path of recycled plastics such as recycling and dismantling, including ownership changes involved in each stage of processing, production and sales and the process of supply chain;

　　(2) GRP certification is designed to provide reliable assurance to customers. No matter whether the customers are enterprises, governments or end consumers, it is necessary to prove to them that the products marked with GRP certificate number are from traceable recycled materials. GRP certification therefore promotes the transparent circulation of products made of the above materials in the supply chain;

　　(3) If an organization wants to carry out GRP certification for its products, the change of ownership in the supply chain needs to establish an effective certification system for the chain of custody of green recycled plastics at their own organizational level and when verified by independent certification organizations. The establishment and implementation of this system is a way for an organization to effectively control its processing system and show its products green recycling to customers.
