On September 25, 2024, during the 21st ASEAN-China Expo Trade Promotion Event, the Seminar on Protected Eco-origin Product (PEOP) Certification Promoting Sustainable Development of International Trade in ASEAN-China Area was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Attendees of the seminar included Sun Dawei, member of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee, Chairman and Party Secretary of the Autonomous Region Political Consultative Conference, Qu Fenghong, Deputy Secretary General of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chief Expert of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Center, U Tin Maung Swe, Myanmar Ambassador to China, Wang Xin, President of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, Duan Xiaohong, Secretary General of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, Surapong Yingdafeng, Deputy Director of the Planning and Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos, Song Guilan from the Management Office of the Ecological Origin Protection Zone, as well as outstanding representatives from assessment bodies, experts and certified enterprise.

At the seminar, the achievements and progress made since 2020 were introduced, and a letter of intent for cooperation was signed with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos. At the seminar, President Wang Xin released the Ecological Origin Group Standard (English version), which means that Protected Eco-origin Product (PEOP) has begun its internationalization journey.

The seminar focused on commending the excellent third-party assessment bodies of Protected Eco-origin Product, HXC (Beijing) Certification Center Co., Ltd.，on the list，It has made a positive contribution to the protection of Protected Eco-origin Product products. In the past few years, the Yangbi County Protected Eco-origin Product Product Conservation Area has been recommended by our agency as the first Protected Eco-origin Product protection area in Yunnan Province, as well as walnut, pepper, apple and other protected products, which have been certified and empowered to realize the transformation of economic benefits, and truly realize green, low-carbon, energy-saving and recycling.

Carrying out ecological origin protection work is an important measure to establish and improve the mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products, an effective path to transform Lucid waters and lush mountains into invaluable assets, an internal driving force for promoting high-quality development of the national economy, and a practical action to participate in the construction of a new trend of green living in the whole society. At the same time, it is also a powerful tool for cultivating enterprises to follow the path of green development, improving enterprise management level, enhancing enterprise standardization level, creating a true "Chinese brand", promoting enterprise products to the world, and realizing product value transformation.
